Maasdriel is a municipality in south of the province of Gelderland. It lies next to the river the Maas, and is also very close to Noord-Brabant. The biggest, and most important town in Maasdriel is Kerkdriel, however there are more towns which are also considered part of Maasdriel, including Alem, Ammerzoden, Hedel, Heerewaarden, Hoenzadriel, Hurwenen, Kerkdriel Rossum, Velddriel, Well en Wellseind.

Maasdriel also lies quite close to some popular, and big cities, such as 's Hertogenbosch, Zaltbommel and Nijmegen. Where you can enjoy going shopping, or if you want to explore the area a bit further.

Maasdriel has about 26 thousand inhabitants, and an area of about 75km². In the past, before 1944, Maasdriel was originally called Driel, however it got renamed to Maasdriel by the German invaders to prevent confusion with the other municipality that was also called Driel, near Arnhem.

Maasdriel unfortunately does not have many ICT companies, however there still are a few:

Radorfa ICT - An ICT Consultancy in Kerkdriel, handles multiple things, including Software, Network and Security.

R&R Automatisering - Another company in Kerkdriel, handles mainly system-management, and cloudbased fixes.

KopICT - A company with multiple locations, including Hedel, handles stuff like Wi-Fi, but also computersystems and VPN's.

Maasdriel has quite a few worthwile sightseeings, including "Kasteel Ammersoyen", in Ammerzoden, the "Fort St Andries" in Heerewaarden, and the "Driels" museum in Kerkdriel. Kerkdriel also has 2 beautiful churches to visit, aswell as a mill. Alem also has a very beautiful church, and used to have a museum, which has unfortunately been permanently closed as of 2020.

Maasdriel has some very nice places to lunch or have dinner, there are many, so I will only give a few, based on my recommendations.

First, Grand Café Opa Pietje in Kerkdriel, it's a very popular place to the locals, the food is great and the atmosphere is great. They do lunch and dinner.

Second, 't Wellse Veerhuis in Well. This place is also quite popular, and has an incredible atmosphere and view. The view is directly on the river the Maas, so you can enjoy your food while having an astronomical view.

And Third, The Engel in Kerkdriel, this is a tapas restaurant, this restaurant is an actual restaurant, with mainly dinner options, it's also quite good.

Maasdriel has multiple sport oriented organisations in the area, where the most popular ones are MFC The Kreek which is basically a fitness center, a big gymnasium, and a big playground. There's also the Golfclub, which has a very big golf field, aswell as a restaurant. If you have a subscription, you will be allowed to go to other 9 other golfclub's too!

There are ofcourse also more organisations available, such as TPV Maasdriel, for tennis and padel.
